Why did I create this forum?
As an agnostic that majored in Religious Studies, I have a very unique view on topics related to atheism and theism. I also have a very tolerant view, which is the main reason I have created this forum. To be honest, it is about having the power. I have been to so many different places from other forums, to Reddit, to Twitter and they are all so brutal. They are a blood bath of ad hominem attacks and screaming and shouting. I want a place where that does not happen and if it does, I can put a stop to it. I want a place where people can talk honestly and respectfully about what they believe. This is not about agreeing or disagreeing with me, or anyone else, it is about respect and civil discussions.
I do want people to be honest. If you believe religion or atheism is silly or that the people that believe it are illogical, that is fine. If you have controversial views, that is fine. What is not okay is personally attacking a member of this forum. Members will have different beliefs and beliefs are often personal and sensitive topics. I want people to feel free to express themselves without fear. I hope thought is encouraged on all sides.
Though this forum is dedicated to atheism and theism topics, you can talk about anything here. Make a home, talk about whatever you like.
