Please give your definition of atheism and tell us what it means to be an atheist.

To me, an atheist is simply someone that does not believe in a higher power. That people are just simply her on the Earth one day, and will eventually lay in the ground the next.
Know over time, I have come to learn just like everything else in the world their are different branches to this picture. And I will also admit that I an a little ignorant as to what they are.

Thanks for the reply. Don't feel bad about not knowing the different "branches," I would say most people, even atheists do not. I think your general definition satisfies what most atheists believe.
